OP Nayyar Memorial Trust has been registered in Mumbai to continue the work which OP Nayyar had started in his lifetime - to provide an umbrella and a platform for assisting aged and struggling musicians and singers, both financially and with other form of hand-holding.
The Trust organizes events on various formats where OP Nayyar's compositions are performed on stage by young and upcoming singers and musicians, primarily from Maharashtra and New Delhi. These endeavours not only help keep his name alive and the torch burning, but the proceeds help in raising funds which the Trust disseminates to deserving singers and musicians. The Trust has even made efforts to identify unknown and unheard chorus singers of Nayyar's times, who are still alive and are walking on a tight rope.
